Some children may have sensitivities to things like scents, colours and surroundings in the environment this can act as a stimulus in the environment and some children will then experience a sensory overload which refers to a child, young person not being able to cope with all the processes in the environment at any one time. This sensory overload can be expressed by a child or young person in a range of ways every attempt should be made to prevent sensory overloads.
